Liberty Science Center, located in Jersey City, NJ, is reopening on July 19, 2007.One of the new exhibitions, called Communication, spotlights the many ways that humans across the globe and throughout the ages have communicated their wisdom, hopes and even dreams.

A Kente cloth from Ghana is among the features of the new Communication exhibition.

Kente Cloth Festival inaugurates a historic kente at the Bronx Week Art Festival. Come to see the rich African cultural heritage being expressed in various kente products, live music, and artwork. Event: :: KENTE INAUGURAL CEREMONY AT THE BRONX WEEK :: Date: Sunday, June 22, 2008. Time: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Theme: “Kente”, the talking cloth.
