Kente Cloth Festival Proclamation
Owura Bosompim Kusi, President/CEO of African Design Concepts, Inc. and founder of Kente Cloth Festival in New York receives proclamation from Ms Yvette Clarke, Council member of Brooklyn.
The proclamation was in recognition of Kusi's hard work of using kente history and culture as a platform, offering inner city youths doses of African culture. Attending the Kente Cloth Festival workshops is a way of learning our history and opportunity of knowing our roots. Owura Kusi is a native of Bonwire, the hometown of royal hand-woven kente cloth from Ghana, West Africa.
